Better Breathing Tip

...Feeling stressed?
Do you know that the average person takes about 15 breaths a minute. That is 900 breaths per hour, and 21,600 breaths per day. That means we have over 21,000 opportunities every day to be more relaxed, energized, healthy, and at peace.

One of the simplest and most powerful things you can do to improve the quality of your every-day life is to stop and take a few moments to breathe:

1. Find a place to lie down, sit, or stand comfortably.
2. Place both hands on your lower abdomen, just below your belly button.
3. Take in long slow deep inhales, all the way down into your lower belly where your hands are resting.
4. Relax each exhale as you let all of the air out of your lungs.
5. Let your hands move with your belly as it expands with each breath.
6. Continue breathing in deep, slow, long breaths and relaxed exhales, until you feel the tension and stress leaving your body and mind.

Deepak Chopra defines breath as 'the movement of thought.' Deep breathing can relax an over-worked mind!
